Community
As a not-for-profit organisation, St John Ambulance relies on income from its revenue-generating activities to fund its community initiatives. Corporate support for our services enables us to make considerable contributions to the community such as:
- Supplying free first aid training to school children through our First Aid Focus program. In 2015, 120,000 children were trained for free.
- Providing a free Community First Responder program which facilitates access to community defibrillators for sudden cardiac arrests
- Supporting our Aboriginal Ambulance Services program which aims to foster strong connections with remote Aboriginal communities and improve their health and emergency medical services.
- Humanitarian missions to developing countries
