- Collection of Personal InformationAmbulance Officers in performing their duties will collect personal and health information about each patient so that adequate records of the treatment provided are maintained. It is not always possible to obtain consent from each patient to collect this information, as it depends on the medical condition of the patient at the time of collection. If it is not possible to obtain the information that the Ambulance Officers require from the patient, the information will need to be acquired by someone who is responsible for the patient. In this instance, the person providing the information will be informed of the patient’s ability to check or alter the information that has been retained by St John Ambulance. The information collected will be used for accountability purposes and will also be used to recover outstanding debts.We will not collect other personal information about you except where you knowingly provide it to us through our web site (e.g. booking courses or purchasing products online) or through some other means (e.g. in person, through the mail or over the telephone).
